Ecommerce |
|
| |
| The first rule about ecommerce, is that
although it might be in your ultimate plan, you should not
launch it until sometime after your main website and email
service are both in place. There are literally
dozens of different choices, as to types of commerce
approaches. |
| Depending upon your need, it could be as
simple as offering PayPal as a form of payment, provided you
are selling only a few items. Or, it could be
as complex as a complete second website, offering
thousands of products, using secure sockets layer, with
product cross-selling, shipping calculations, tax rule
processing, and real time payment authorization. |
| With these two examples representing the
extremes, you'll find that an online store can cost
anywhere from almost nothing, to $5,000 to build. |
| And, you can plan on a monthly minimum of
about $75 per month, even if you don't sell a single item
(unless you use the PayPal method). |
|
But that said,
if ecommerce is where you want to go, we'll get you there. |
